Tidung Bersih Waste Bank Achieved Award for the Most Waste Savers Category

Tidung Island Public Facility Maintenance (PPSU) personnel of North Thousand Islands achieved an award for the Most Waste Savers category during January 1-September 30, 2019 period.

The award is given to Yuliyana as the Manager of Tidung Bersih Waste Bank

Tidung Island Urban Village Head, Cecep Suryadi stated, this award is received from launching event of 'Ayo Menabung dengan Sampah' Program where Jakarta Government built cooperation with Bank BNI at City Hall, Monday (10/14) morning.

"The award is given to Yuliyana as the Manager of Tidung Bersih Waste Bank as well as environmental activist in 2019 for the Most Waste Savers category," he explained.

According to him, Yuliyana is not only received award, but also prize money for coaching fund.

During January to September 2019, he informed, waste savings of Tidung Bersih Waste Bank is around Rp 200-400 thousand per week. It means Tidung Bersih Waste Bank collected Rp 13,500,000 from collecting waste during the period.

"Hopefully this award can encourage other residents to work harder in collecting waste and hopefully Thousand Islands can be free from plastic waste," he asserted.
